Crochet Blanket Tutorials

Happily Stained Blanket / Modified Millstone Stitch / Crochet Tutorial

This video is a mix of an up close look at my finished project and a crochet tutorial on the stitch I used to make it, the modified millstone stitch. I’m calling this blanket Happily Stained. Happily comes from the color of yarn I used. It’s Lion Brand Mandala Ombré in the color Happy for the bright colors. I just LOVE this yarn! And Stained because I was wanting to make a blanket to look like stained glass. And for the black I used Red Heart Super Saver in black. Both are a medium 4 weight. In the video I say I used 4 of the ombrés. Buy 5 to be sure. I tossed the ball bands and while I am pretty sure it was 4, I don’t want you to be short on yarn! And if you have extra, this yarn makes a great fun beanie!

Baby Blanket - Lemon Peel Stitch

Baby Blanket using the Lemon Peel Stitch.  Yarn Used: Lion Brand Mandala Ombré / Color: Mantra (For the stroller size blanket I made, I used 2 1/2 skeins.) I LOVE the way this yarn worked up in this project.

One Hat Wonder Lovey Crochet Tutorial

Crochet lovey tutorial using a C2C Lemon Peel Stitch and a Lion Brand’s Sesame Street Character One Hat Wonder. I picked up the ones I used on clearance at Hobby Lobby but you can still find it in other stores online. This is a smaller lovey style security blanket but you can easily adjust the size by continuing on with the pattern to make the blanket larger.

Snow Day Baby Blanket Tutorial

The Snow Day Stroller Blanket came about as I was at home enjoying a snow day. In the area of Tennessee I live in, we don’t get snow often. So when we do get snow, I like to enjoy it from the warmth of my house looking out at the beauty of the white landscape. The Snow Day Baby Blanket would have been a throw if I had more than 2 skeins of the gorgeous Red Heart Super Saver Metallic in white while being snowed in. BUT I am so happy with how the baby blanket turned out. It’s the perfect size to use in a car seat or stroller.
